Police are looking for whomever hit and killed a pedestrian, then fled the scene of the accident late Friday evening in Shenango Township, Lawrence County. An autopsy completed on Friday afternoon by the Erie County Coroner showed that a pedestrian who was hit by a vehicle on Thursday night died from blunt-force trauma to the head and upper body. The coroner told reporters that the 51-year-old suffered from massive injuries all over his body. One person was injured in a pedestrian accident on Friday evening after being hit by a UPS box-truck. Tragedy struck a small neighborhood just outside of New Castle last evening. A 62-year-old man was walking along the 2500 block of U.S. Route 422/Benjamin Franklin Highway, northwest of New Castle, when he was struck by a vehicle and killed.
