McKenzie L. Hartman (Mac), the son of Dallas W. Hartman, grew up around the practice of law and the work of representing injured individuals and families. Mac brings to Dallas W. Hartman, P.C. a strong academic background, technical training, and experience at some of the world’s leading law firms, where he represented public and private companies and financial institutions in complex commercial financing matters.
Mac graduated from Case Western Reserve University with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering before earning his Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from Case Western Reserve University School of Law.
Mac has valuable government and judicial experience. He worked in the Civil Division of the United States Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Ohio and as a judicial extern to the Honorable Kathleen M. O’Malley of the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
Following law school, Mac practiced at two of the largest law firms in the country: Jones Day and White & Case LLP. His practice focused on representing sophisticated companies and financial institutions in secured and unsecured credit facilities, multibank facilities, acquisition- related financings, asset-based financing, leveraged financing, and debt offerings. That experience required the careful analysis of complex factual and legal issues, and the ability to advocate for clients in high-stakes matters involving significant financial risk.
Mac now uses that background to represent injured individuals and families in civil litigation. His experience working on complex matters for major institutions gives him a valuable perspective in cases involving serious injuries, medical malpractice, commercial trucking crashes, industrial accidents, defective products, wrongful death, and other personal injury matters. Mac is committed to helping clients navigate difficult circumstances and holding wrongdoers accountable when their negligence causes serious harm.
On a personal level, Mac grew up in Lawrence County, Pennsylvania. He was a highly decorated basketball player at Kennedy Catholic High School in Hermitage, Pennsylvania and played college basketball at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. Mac currently resides in Mercer County, Pennsylvania.
