$1,920,000 Medical Malpractice Verdict

A Lawrence County woman was injured by a doctor negligently performing a bowel resection. Prior to going to trial on this matter, the defendant doctor offered no money to the victim to settle the claim. Dallas M. Hartman and Patrick L. Sullivan took the case to trial in front of a Lawrence County, Pennsylvania jury. The jury awarded the 76-year-old victim $1,600,000. This verdict was molded to $1,920,000 to reflect interest and is one of the largest medical malpractice verdicts in Lawrence County history.
