Car runs red light, hits another driver in Youngstown / Boardman

It's that time of year when car accidents are on the rise. With school back in session and the days getting shorter, many people do not keep the road ahead the most important priority when they are behind the wheel. When you're hurt in a car accident because of the negligence of another driver, you are entitled to compensation for your pain, suffering, missed time at work, future earnings. No one thinks they are going to be in an accident when they leave for work or school in the morning, but these things happen. With an experienced car accidents attorney on your side, you will have an advocate for your best interests.

A multiple vehicle accident on Thursday in Youngstown has the Ohio State Highway Patrol investigating and questioning possible witnesses. Police say the two car collided at the intersection of East Midlothian Boulevard and South Avenue, near the Rite-Aid, shortly after 12 p.m. Thursday afternoon.

Police told reporters that a woman who was driving eastward on East Midlothian Boulevard ran a stop light at South Avenue and smashed into another vehicle that was being driven through the intersection.

It is unclear about each person's injuries, but an update should be coming soon. Witnesses say that both vehicles were likely totaled. Because the accident happened right on the Boardman / Youngstown border, the Ohio State Highway Patrol has taken over. Patrolmen are currently questioning witnesses and trying to get a better idea of what happened before any official statement is made.
