Western Pennsylvania Car Accidents Lawyers
Car accidents in northwestern Pennsylvania have been in the news a lot lately. With the kids back in school and week-long vacations over, it's back to the grind for many citizens in our area. That means more people on the road and darker mornings. While many of the accidents we report on seem as though they could have been avoided, there are those times when we may never know what happened or why these types of car accidents happen.
Monday morning, Warren County authorities are continuing their investigation into a fatal accident that took place at around 3 p.m. Sunday afternoon. Police say the collision occurred on Route 27 / Matthews Run Road in Youngsville, Pennsylvania, between Route 69 / Jackson Run Road and Highway 6 / GAR Highway.
Pennsylvania State Police in Warren, PA told reporters that a car driven by a 54-year-old woman from Sugar Grove, Pennsylvania was headed northbound along Route 27 / Matthews Run Road when she crossed the center double yellow line and smashed into a vehicle being driven by a 72-year-old woman from Youngsville, PA.
The 72-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident by Warren County's coroner. The 54-year-old woman was rushed to Warren Hospital to be treated for what police are calling "moderate" injuries. Police are still unsure why the woman crossed the center double yellow line and say they will likely release more details once their investigation in complete.
