On Saturday evening, two vehicles collided and sent six people to a local hospital. The accident happened in Lake Milton, Ohio at the intersection of Mahoning Avenue and Pricetown Road / State Route 534.
Ohio State Police report that a silver Chevrolet Impala, driven by a 46-year-old Youngstown man, ran into a truck at approximately 8:30 p.m. The driver is said to have had three passengers with him in the vehicle, including a 48-year-old woman, a 27-year-old woman, and a 9-year-old boy. Police say the man hit a 2004 Dodge Ram pick-up truck that was making a left-hand turn onto Mahoning Avenue from Pricetown Road.
The woman driving the truck, a 22-year-old from Lake Milton, did not yield as she was turning onto Mahoning Avenue. The passenger in the truck is related to the driver, but police did now say how. Police say that all six people involved in the accident were taken to St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Youngstown. The driver of the truck is currently being charged with failure to yield at an intersection. Upon the initial investigation, police believe that neither drugs nor alcohol had anything to do with the accident.
