Hit-and-run car accidents in western Pennsylvania have been well-recorded here in our personal injury blog. From Pittsburgh to Erie, rarely more than a few weeks goes by where we don't read and write about an unfortunate hit-and-run car accident. These types of car accidents are especially devastating to the victims and their families because immediate closure can't be had and people are left wondering the identity of the culprit. If you have been injured in a hit-and-run accident, either as another driver or as a pedestrian, please call the Pennsylvania car accidents lawyers at Dallas W. Hartman, P.C. at 800-777-4081 for a free consultation.
A double hit-and-run has left one person in the hospital and Erie Police are still searching for the suspect. The accident happened at around 8:30 on Tuesday evening. People at the scene of the accident told police that they saw a black or dark green Honda slam into a gold Acura then flee the scene.
Police tell reporters that witnesses say the driver of the Acura then attempted to chase the Honda and that the Honda eventually ran a stop sign and hit into the Acura again, and then fled the scene again.
One witness told police that she was pulling into a friend's driveway and was startled by the crash. She looked up to see smoke coming from the Honda as it sped away. Erie and PA State Police are currently looking for a black or dark green Honda with an Ohio license plate. They are urging anyone with information to contact the Erie Police Department at 814-870-1120.
