On Saturday the 21st of September, at the Grove City YMCA, a dedication with be made to its newest facilities: the Program Arena, sponsored by Dallas W. Hartman, P.C., as well as the Eugene Miller Jr. Memorial Teen Center, and the Jim and Betty Myford Reception area. The event is free to all and will begin at 11 a.m. in the Program Arena.
The expansion of the Grove City YMCA is quite completed just yet, but it has already allowed the YMCA to offer more programs and services for young and old, as well as providing folks within the same families who are active YMCA members to participate in what used to be simultaneously happening events, games, and activities.
The generous donations from Dallas W. Hartman, P.C. and other magnanimous groups that are being used to build the Program Arena is going to enable the YMCA and its staff the possibilities of serving even more people and enabling activities to occur that could have never before been possible.
In addition, Slippery Rock University will be on site various days of the week to teach their students in various fields; those students will then take what they have learned and apply it voluntarily in working directly with YMCA members. Donations from Dallas W. Hartman, P.C. and others have also allowed YMCA administrators to begin the "Middle School Initiative" which allows free YMCA memberships to all local middle schoolers. In thanking Dallas W. Hartman, P.C. and the other donors, one of the YMCA administrators said that "There is no way we could have offered this initiative without the expansion. To be able to focus on our enormous after school impact has been a blessing for many children on the proverbial fence."
