Ohio residents understand the possible risks of driving a motorcycle – or any vehicle for that matter – but drivers can only do so much out on the road if a vehicle has a faulty part or isn't in proper working order. One company whose import facility is stationed in our state recently stated of the recalling of one of their motorcycles due to such an issue.
KTM, a company based out of Austria but who has products imported into Ohio, announced earlier this month that several models of their Enduro motorcycle are to be recalled due to hazardous and potential leak issues with the bike's fuel hose. The issue has to do with reports of cracks or holes occurring in the hose, causing leaks in several instances and potentially endangering anyone around the bikes who have this problem come up.
Motorcyclists who own the dangerous models are instructed to discontinue the use of their bikes and contact a dealer of KTM in order to repair the hoses. The models included are as follows: 2013 KTM Motorcycles: 250 XC-F, 250 XCF-W, 350 XC-F, 350 XCF-W, 450 XC-F, 450 XC-W, 500 XC-W and MY 2012 KTM 350 XCF-W. There have reportedly been some 1,300 recalled in the United States. None of the 13 reported leaks in fuel hoses stated that injuries were sustained.
For Ohio residents who have been injured or lost someone as the result of a motorcycle accident, working with an attorney may be able to provide some direction. Families who are going through this ordeal not only must cope with the aftermath of the accident but have the pressure of lost wages often, due to injuries or caring for someone in the home. Understanding your options in regards to personal injury cases could help someone to receive recompense for their suffering from such an accident.
