Losing a loved one during the holidays is something you'll never forget, but when people die because of a drunk driver, it's harder to accept because the accident could have been prevented. This was the case for four Ohio people that were killed when a minivan carrying a family leaving a Christmas party went the wrong way on an Ohio highway.

The head-on car accident occurred on Interstate 75 near Franklin and took the lives of three adults and a small boy. Two other children were critically injured.

Officers at the scene suspect that alcohol was a factor. Investigators on the scene of the accident smelled alcohol in the minivan that was going the wrong way and found a bottle of alcohol in the vehicle. The driver that caused the accident was driving with his children when he made the fatal mistake and started driving the wrong way on the freeway. His vehicle then hit another minivan that was carrying two adults and their four children.

This is a tragic example of what drunk driving can do if you crash into another vehicle. Both families are devastated by the tragedy and their lives will be changed forever.
