An Ohio woman is suing on grounds of medical malpractice after a doctor error committed during a procedure on the woman's shoulder. Reportedly, the doctor error occurred during a shoulder surgery when the doctor left the victim's arm at an improper angle, causing the woman to heal incorrectly.
The improper healing resulted in a deformity and a second surgery. Further, according to the victim, the doctor's negligence resulted in the woman sustaining a loss of strength and range of motion which inhibited her ability to perform her job.
As such, the victim is seeking compensation not only for the medical bills she incurred, but also for the loss of wages she suffered. This woman may never be able to return to her job due to this case of medical malpractice.
The victim was likely in a great deal of pain as well and sometimes the only means a jury possesses of affirming a victim's suffering is to award monetary compensation. Victim's in Ohio and elsewhere suffering from the negligence of another party have a right to justice.
In the event that an Ohio resident is victimized by medical malpractice — be that on behalf of a doctor, nurse, hospital or other medical personnel or facility — there are options to seek recompense. Often, in light of doctor mistakes, doctors will stop talking to the patient, leaving the patient clueless. It may be important for the patient to find an advocate that will demand answers and action.
