Weather leads to crashes in Ohio and surrounding area

As the months begin to melt into spring and residents of Ohio get their hopes up that the cold is finally abating, Old Man Winter lets residents know he is not through with them quite yet. This morning, patches of black ice are being deemed responsible for several car accidents across Ohio, resulting not only in severe traffic congestion but critical injuries as well.

One of the more severe accidents that occurred this morning from the severe weather conditions was a delivery that resulted in critical injuries. A UPS driver lost control of his truck as he was headed west on U.S. 50 and consequently collided head-on with a Volvo semi tractor-trailer headed east.

The UPS driver was quickly airlifted to a nearby hospital and remains in critical condition. The driver of the semi was also transported by an ambulance to a hospital for his injuries. Currently, the collision remains under investigation.

Accidents involving commercial vehicles and semis have the potential to result in significant damage and injury, as is the case with this delivery truck accident. These injuries can result in not only hospital expenses but lost wages as well.

Depending on the outcome of this investigation, the victim may be entitled to compensation for this commercial vehicle accident.

If anyone in the Ohio area has been the victim of a commercial vehicle accident, they may be entitled to compensation. It would be in the victim's best interest to seek experience legal counsel that can fight for the victim's just compensation.

Furthermore, these accidents are an unfortunate reminder to always use caution in cases of severe weather.
