The circumstances surrounding car crashes generally result from the same handful of variables. Weather conditions, negligence and fatigue are all common causes of car accidents. Depending on these circumstances, if a victim of an accident is injured, that victim could be entitled to compensation.
A commercial vehicle accident often occurs under much the same circumstances. However, the results of a commercial vehicle accident can be much more tragic and can also be fatal more often.
Sadly, one Ohio man recently died in a commercial vehicle accident. The two passengers in the vehicle were also injured but are reported to be in stable condition. They were both brought to Akron General Hospital. The truck driver was not reported to be injured.
According to State Highway Patrol, the victim was traveling along State Route 585 going northeast. From an investigator's reconstruction of the events, it appears as though the late driver made a right turn and then quickly made a u-turn. During the u-turn, the Ohio truck driver made impact with the driver's side. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
According to authorities, even though the roads were wet during the time of the collision, weather does not appear to have been a factor in this accident. The commercial vehicle driver will undergo standard drug and alcohol screening, although he did not show signs of using either during the time of the collision.
Patrol reports that the crash is still under investigation, so the exact variables that caused this fatal collision are still unknown.
