People throughout the nation are injured due to the behavior of others on a regular basis. While car accidents are a common way in which one person hurts another, it is not the only situation in which injuries can be inflicted.
Earlier this week a person in a car was injured while the vehicle drove through the Hazelwood area of Pittsburgh. The man was hurt when one of the car's windows shattered causing him to be covered in glass. The incident transpired on Second Avenue not far from Renova Street. It occurred at approximately 6 a.m. as the injured man and the vehicle driver made their way to work.
At the time the window shattered, the man's arm was resting on the door. Some of the glass shards became embedded in his arm which caused it to swell. The man's co-worker took the man to the hospital so that his injury could be treated.
Police who were called to the scene believe the window was shot out by a bullet. This belief is in part due to multiple calls the police received in that vicinity, around the same time.
As one would likely expect, the incident is being investigated. If the individual responsible for firing the gun that resulted in the window shattering is determined, it is highly likely he or she will face criminal charges. But that is not all they might face. The injured man could also decide to file a personal injury lawsuit to help cover costs incurred such as medical bills.
