There are many things that people behind the wheel of a car in the Pittsburgh area are trained to be aware of while driving. The things regularly on the minds of drivers include watching the road, their speed and being aware of other vehicles around them. Most people are not concerned about avoiding objects that are randomly flying through the air because that never happens, right? As is turns out, the correct answer to the question is "wrong."
Earlier this week a Pennsylvania woman was involved in a fatal accident. She was driving her vehicle on a highway and a road sign hit her car. The sign reportedly took to flight after a truck hit the edge of it tearing it from its post and jettisoning it through the air. It landed on the windshield of the car the 31-year-old woman was driving, breaking it and causing the woman to sustain serious head injuries.
Though the woman survived the initial accident, she sadly succumbed to her injuries a couple days later.
It is impossible to prepare for an accident like this and the woman's loved ones are likely stunned that she is now gone. A sudden unexpected loss such as this can leave a family reeling and unsure of what to do next. While there is nothing anyone can do to bring the woman back, her family may decide to take control of the situation and seek some closure by filing a wrongful death lawsuit against parties that acted in a negligent manner, causing the woman's death.
Because these cases are generally complicated and need to be filed in a timely manner it is important to consult a Pennsylvania personal injury attorney sooner rather than later.
