Car accidents that result in the death of any person are unbelievably sad. When children are the ones who die it is even worse. When siblings die together in a car accident it is almost unbearable. Sadly, the parents of three Pennsylvania children are dealing with this first hand. Their children died last week in a collision with another vehicle.
The victims, twin brothers who were 16-years-old and their 9-year-old younger sister were the only passengers in the car at the time of the fatal accident. Apparently the teen who was driving lost control of the vehicle. When he did so the car moved to the side and hit another car that was headed north. The severity of their injuries resulted in their deaths. It is unclear whether the occupant or occupants of the other car were injured.
In addition to their parents, the three children left behind seven other siblings.
Police believe the accident which occurred in Rapho Township was due to both bad weather as well as the fact that the driver was relatively new to the act and did not have years of driving experience under his belt.
At this point the deaths in this case do not appear to be due the negligence of another person or entity. When they are however, it is sometimes possible for the loved ones left behind to secure financial compensation through a wrongful death lawsuit. Though not any easy thing to pursue, it may bring much needed closure as well as make it easier to move on with one's life.
