Concrete truck involved in fatal accident on Route 119

Fatal accidents are difficult to deal with for a variety of reasons. For most, the death of a loved one is a trying matter. When the death is sudden and unexpected it is even worse. When actions could have been taken that would have prevented the fatal accident but were not, it is often the final straw.

A 37-year-old Pennsylvania man, who was a passenger in a car involved in an accident late last month, died after a car accident on Route 119. The accident, which occurred near Connellsville, happened when a concrete truck driven by a 46-year-old man attempted to make a left turn from Route 119 to Route 711. As he did so, a BMW 325i, the car in which the deceased was a passenger, collided with the truck.

In addition to the 23-year-old driver and the man who died, the BMW was also transporting a 21-year-old man. After the accident the driver and the other passenger were transported to Highlands Hospital for treatment. Their injuries were characterized as moderate. The driver of the truck was uninjured. Sadly, the 37-year-old man died at the scene.

After a tragic accident such as this it is likely that all involved wish that they could turn back the clock to take steps that would change the outcome. This of course is not possible. While there is nothing that can be done to bring back the deceased, in situations where a person’s death is the fault of another, a wrongful death lawsuit may provide the closure needed to help loved ones of the deceased move forward with their lives.
