An accident, involving three cars in Allegheny Township, Pennsylvania, earlier this month resulted in injuries to four people. The car accident occurred in the evening on Route 56.
According to township police, a SUV heading east on the road crossed the centerline and hit two cars that were driving toward it. The crash caused all of the cars to be totaled. Police were not sure what caused the SUV to cross the center line.
After the accident, the woman who was driving the SUV was transported to Allegheny Valley Hospital for treatment. Before she could be transferred to the ambulance, rescue crews had to first work to get her out of the wreckage of her vehicle. The extent of her injuries is unknown.
The woman driving the first car hit by the SUV was taken to a hospital in Pittsburgh, Allegheny General Hospital. She too had to be extricated from her car by emergency responders. Upon her arrival at the hospital, her condition was listed as fair. The passenger in her car was transported to Allegheny Valley Hospital after sustaining minor injuries.
The driver of the second car the SUV hit was also injured. She was transported to UPMC St. Margaret hospital. The nature and extent of her injuries is currently not known.
Even the best drivers can be injured in a car accident through no fault of their own. When this occurs it is sometimes possible to be financially compensated for the expenses incurred as a result of those injuries. An experienced personal injury attorney can assist in the matter.
