No one wants to be involved in a car accident. When it happens however, most people hope for a minor fender bender resulting in minimal property damage and no physical injuries. Few, if any people are excited by the thought of being involved in a rollover accident.
Earlier this week a woman was involved in one such accident in the North Shore area of Pittsburgh. Though currently specific details of the crash are unavailable, the accident, which occurred at little after 9:00 a.m., involved one other automobile. The location of the crash was the intersection where East General Robinson and Sandusky streets meet.
Following the accident the woman was unable to get out of her car. Once extracted from her vehicle by emergency responders, she was transported by ambulance to Allegheny General Hospital. Though she was hurt in the wreck, fortunately the injuries were not too serious. At the hospital her condition was reported as good.
In many cases of vehicle rollovers it is assumed the car’s acrobatic maneuver is the fault of the person behind the wheel. While it is true that driving too fast or attempting to make too tight of a turn can cause a car to flip, it can also be due to the vehicle not meeting certain safety standards. For this reason it is usually worthwhile for a party injured in a rollover accident to consult an experienced attorney to determine whether compensation for pain and suffering and expenses related to the crash may be available.
