On Wednesday, January 21, 2015, Attorney Dallas Hartman and his wife Kristina Hartman were recognized in the Lartz Memorial Library on the campus of Penn State Shenango in Sharon, Pennsylvania. The event was to honor the naming of the campus' occupational therapy lab classroom to Dallas W. Hartman, P.C. and Dallas W. & Kristina Hartman.
Dallas has been a supporter of Penn State Shenango for many years. His most recent donation of $150,000 is what he was honored for on January 21. Of that $150,000, $50,000 was given to establish a Trustee Matching Scholarship for occupational therapy students, $50,000 was given to establish a Trustee Matching Scholarship for physical therapy students, and $50,000 was designated to support campus improvements, including the occupational therapy lab.
Prior donations from Dallas and Dallas W. Hartman, P.C. to Penn State Shenango total more than $200,000. Some of the prior donations went to establish the Frederick Leeds Matching Trustee Scholarship and towards renovation of the Sharon and Lecture Hall buildings.
Dallas began his education at Penn State Shenango and completed his undergraduate work at Youngstown State University before going on to law school at Dickenson School of Law. After graduating from Dickenson in 1984 he founded Dallas W. Hartman, P.C., a law firm that focuses on personal injury, medical malpractice, automobile accidents, workers' compensation, and social security in Western Pennsylvania and Eastern Ohio.
