It is fair to say that when heading off to work each day, most people do not consider that they will be seriously injured or die while at work. It is likely that this was the case for a 54-year-old man who worked as a tree trimmer in Butler County. The man was killed in the midst of doing his job.

At the time of the incident the man was trimming branches on trees located in a Pittsburgh area cemetery, while in a bucket truck. Though specifics regarding the matter were not immediately clear, it was known that something went wrong with truck that caused it to come down.

The man survived the initial accident but later died from unspecified injuries.

As is the case with any fatal workplace accident the Occupational Safety and Health Administration will conduct an investigation into the matter.

Depending on the circumstances surrounding a fatal workplace accident it is possible that a wrongful death lawsuit might be filed. To make sense, negligence on the part of another person or party must have be deemed to play a role in the incident occurring. It is possible that the man's employer could be named as a defendant in such a case. If the bucket truck in which the man was working was in some way defective, its manufacturer might also be sued.

Following a fatal work accident those left behind are often unsure of what to do. It is possible that money could be an issue. If a wrongful death lawsuit is successful, that issue could be addressed.
