Mason falls at least ten feet

Late Tuesday afternoon, a man was injured at a Mt. Lebanon church. The accident happened shortly before 5 p.m., according to reports. According to witnesses, a man who likely works for Raimondo Masonry Restoration Contractors out of Greensburg, PA was repointing mortar joints on top of some scaffold when he fell approximately ten feet down below to another level of scaffolding. The accident happened at the St. Bernard Roman Catholic Church on Washington Road in Mt. Lebanon.

Reports show that Raimondo Masonry Restoration Contractors were recently hired to fix and repoint the church's fading stone work. Currently, the Mt. Lebanon Police Department and OSHA are looking into the matter. There will be an official report once the investigation is complete. At this time, it is unclear how badly the man was injured or where he was taken to be treated.
