Two people were hospitalized this morning after a car accident in Boardman, Ohio. The accident happened around 10 a.m. on Market Street.

The accident involved two vehicles. One car is reported to be an early 2000s Pontiac Grand Am and the other vehicle has not yet been identified. The accident took place on Market Street (Ohio State Route 7), opposite Ridgewood Drive, between Meadowbrook Avenue and Gertrude Avenue, just in front of the Sunoco. 

Ohio State Police arrived at the scene to find the drivers of each car with injuries. According to first responders, one driver was taken to Saint Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown, OH and the other was taken to Saint Elizabeth Hospital in Boardman, OH with unknown, non-life-threatening injuries.  

As we hit the heart of autumn and inclement weather abounds, please be sure to winterize your vehicle and take all of the proper safety precautions when you're on the road. Furthermore, morning commutes are darker and therefore more dangerous. Be attentive and play close attention to detail. Following the rules of the road and being a watchful driver will get you to your destination safe and sound.
