Pennsylvania man dies after fight with 4 men

There are many situations that could lead to a wrongful death lawsuit being filed. Anytime the actions of another person are to blame for the death, such a lawsuit might be appropriate. Though not yet clear, it is possible that a wrongful death claim could be filed by the family of a man who was recently killed outside of a bar, allegedly by four men. According to the autopsy conducted after his death, the 39-year-old man died as a result of trauma to his abdomen and chest.

The catalyst for the beating was apparently a disagreement of some sort. When one of men struck the deceased in his face it caused him to fall to the ground. The other men being held responsible in the case reportedly then jumped on or kicked the man.

Three of the men identified in this case have all been arrested and charged in connection with the death. In addition to homicide, they are facing charges of simple assault, reckless endangerment, aggravated assault and harassment. A fourth individual, the man who was involved in the initial confrontation, has been arrested as well and charged with both simple as well as aggravated assault.

Regardless of how the criminal charges play out, it as was mentioned earlier, a civil wrongful death lawsuit could be filed by the man's family. Wrongful death lawsuits are generally difficult to handle for those who are left behind. This is because in a successful case a monetary value is assigned to the life of the deceased individual. Though trying, when successful, many find that the legal action is worthwhile.
